This piece feels like a duet interrupted at dusk. The figures are stretched, smeared, and fractured, as though they are not meeting in full presence but dissolving in the very act of drawing near. The interplay of orange, rose, blue, and violet gives the scene the warmth of sunset and the ache of dispersal, suggesting that the feeling has already begun to fade before it can fully settle. Rather than depicting the end of a dance, the work dwells on a relationship that remains suspended in perpetual incompletion.
