The Last Crown of October

Within a forest consumed by icy blue mist, a king long departed from the living world remains seated in solemn silence.

A golden crown rests upon his skeletal head, as though time has failed to strip him of his authority. Beside him, a jack-o'-lantern radiates warmth, while the fragile candle in his hand burns like the final hope of a forgotten kingdom.

The Last Crown of October explores the absurd relationship between power and mortality. When kingdoms collapse and their subjects disappear, what meaning does a crown retain?

Perhaps the hardest thing to surrender is not life itself, but the identity we once believed would last forever.
