This work translates the nearness, hesitation, and misalignment of tango into a highly stylized structural language. The man’s faceted face, the woman’s hat-like contour, and the hovering gestures create a composition suspended in an almost unstable equilibrium. Against the blue field, touches of pink, yellow, and orange flicker like emotional signals trapped just beneath the surface. What it depicts is not a flawless dance, but the beauty of never being entirely synchronized within intimacy.
